i thought it was dead.
my old guestbook that is. it was the best service in the begining, when they were called fuckbooks. no ads, and very costom-ize-able. but then they got ads. then if you added your entry it wouldnt show up until you yourself updated it, but it seems like gbook.nu works again. ramble ramble blah blah.

say happy birthday to ickle.

trying to move on.
i know that hopefully this will be the last comment by me on what happened on the 11th, until something new happens. first let me say for all that know me, i am a tree hugging hippie, that cannot stand to kill anything. (except spiders, i hate those things.) and erica i will be reading those sites that you recommended. and i know the horrors of war. our country learned the truth a long time ago, when photography was becoming popular.

i have a close friend that will be leaving today for combat training. i dont want to loose him. but i have to say that i am so completely tired of letting the united states getting hit by "terroist" attacks. by doing nothing what does that say to all of the other "terroists" out there? its okay you can live in the united states, use our money and our resources and then kill a bunch of those damn americans. what will it take to show them that we will not stand for attacks such as these. whats next? chicago? boston? san fransisco? houston? some little town in the middle of nowhere? whos next? where will it stop? when will it stop?

colleen is still upset, shaking even. she was in school and felt the attack. of course erica you will be happy, coll doesnt want war either. now i am not ready for combat. i think we should become terrorists and hit a few of thier buildings that hold a few thousand innocent people.

moving on
i spent some time with my sisters on saturday after i got home from work. we (eric, me, my two sisters and a friend for each) went to the renaissance faire it was great. in fact this year was completely different from last year. last year i saw taming of the shrew, the mud show and a joust. this year we saw the village idiots, a knife throwing show, and a juggling act. we all had a blast. i took pictures of our face paintings, and will put them here when i get the chance. and i would love to go to the forest of fear. i love halloween.

my heart goes out to those that need it.

In light of yesterdy's events... TRIBUTE TO THE UNITED STATES: This, from a Canadian newspaper, is worth sharing. America: The Good Neighbor. Widespread but only partial news coverage was given recently to a remarkable editorial broadcast from Toronto by Gordon Sinclair, a Canadian television Commentator. What follows is the full text of his trenchant remarks as printed in the Congressional Record: "This Canadian thinks it is time to speak up for the Americans as the most generous and possibly the least appreciated people on all the earth. Germany, Japan and, to a lesser extent, Britain and Italy were lifted out of the debris of war by the Americans who poured in billions of dollars and forgave other billions in debts.

None of these countries is today paying even the interest on its remaining debts to the United States. When France was in danger of collapsing in 1956, it was the Americans who propped it up, and their reward was to be insulted and swindled on the streets of Paris. I was there. I saw it.

When earthquakes hit distant cities, it is the United States that hurries in to help. This spring, 59 American communities were flattened by tornadoes. Nobody helped. The Marshall Plan and the Truman Policy pumped billions of dollars into discouraged countries. Now newspapers in those countries are writing about the decadent, warmongering Americans.

I'd like to see just one of those countries that is gloating over the erosion of the United States dollar build its own airplane. Does any other country in the world have a plane to equal the Boeing Jumbo Jet, the Lockheed Tri-Star, or the Douglas DC10?

If so, why don't they fly them? Why do all the International lines except Russia fly American Planes? Why does no other land on earth even consider putting a man or woman on the moon? You talk about Japanese technocracy, and you get radios. You talk about German technocracy, and you get automobiles. You talk about American technocracy, and you find men on the moon - not once, but several times - and safely home again.

You talk about scandals, and the Americans put theirs right in the store window for everybody to look at. Even their draft-dodgers are not pursued and hounded. They are here on our streets, and most of them, unless they are breaking Canadian laws, are getting American dollars from ma and pa at home to spend here.

When the railways of France, Germany and India were breaking down through age, it was the Americans who rebuilt them. When the Pennsylvania Railroad and the New York Central went broke, nobody loaned them an old caboose. Both are still broke.

I can name you 5000 times when the Americans raced to the help of other people in trouble. Can you name me even one time when someone else raced to the Americans in trouble? I don't think there was outside help even during the San Francisco earthquake.

Our neighbors have faced it alone, and I'm one Canadian who is damned tired of hearing them get kicked around. They will come out of this thing with their flag high. And when they do, they are entitled to thumb their nose at the lands that are gloating over their present troubles. I hope Canada is not one of those."

normally i dont put big chucks of others words on my site, but oh well today i did.

Thank-you so much to the gentlemen in Canada. You expressed exactally how I feel in those aspects.....I'd love the world to also take a good look at how "The United States of American has never never PROVOKED OR INSTILLED evil intentions on any country"...we do not deserve any of these evil action!!

words cannot express how horrible today is. my heart goes out to all of the families who will be hurt and crying tonight. and my heart goes out to thank the lord that my father and uncle were not in those buildings today. and it just keeps getting worse. picture from salon.com and i am guessing that salon.com will continue to update as more horror unfolds. and its not just affecting the people here in new york, but all over the united states. by the way, todays date 9-11 i dont even know how to feel. i cannot believe that the world trade center is no longer standing. nyc is in complete and utter fucked over state. cnn.com has redone their site to cover this caos completely. and heres a complete chronology of todays events.

even altavista.com has edited thier website to search for "terrorist attack". insane.

Well James was standing 75 yards away from the First Building to fall to the ground. After watching the trade center burn for a little while he figured he would go catch a ferry across the river, while running towards the building to get to the other side he heard the loudest most scariest sound that sounded like hundreds of planes flying in with bombs, hitting the deck thinking that we were being bombed and see the building that he has seen for over 2 years everyday fall to the ground... Amazing that someone could of gotten out of it alive and to get out of the city in a matter of 5 minutes... What a delight to see him ok. Just think about how bad you though it was from the TV...TODAY IS MY 21st BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!! ROCK ON!!!!

My dad knows better than half of the firefighters that were killed inside the building. Not the most light-hearted of things, but i thought i'd just let you know.

hrmmm...
i guess i am a rain forest slut i think some one has searched for the before and found my site. hmm. i dont know if i should be insulted or not. and it has been brought to my attention many times that i spelled houston wrong in my survey. "is huston too close to new orleans?" but to tell you the truth i have just been such a slacker that i havent fixed it. heh. and it took me a while because in the descripition that is mailed to me i spelled it correctly. heh. maybe i will fix it today... maybe not. i have some homework that needs to be done.

okay so i will be on an art history or should i say modern art kick, its weird to me that i am studying the history of modern art. but i will get over it. check out this awesome edouard manet site. groovey baby. erf. lets not forget to show you this gallery site its got a bunch of yummy artists for your veiwing pleasure. and why not check out les tres riches heures du duc de berry its from 2 semesters ago but its very interesting none the less.

now i am just goozing with happiness i found the best site ever. artdaily.com i am running around screaming about how fucking wonderful that website is. it might link to artchive.com a lot but it also shows other sites that have works by that artist. and each link opens in a new window so you can go back to that site for refrence. neato! and i might consider to donate to artchive.com mainly because i will be recieving a cdrom with all of the images they have... i need to think about that one.

and by the way check out my wishlist

and wow i never even knew this awesome site existed until about 5 minutes ago. artcyclopedia.com. rock on. and dont forget this fabulous site. art history out the butt.

and trust me i dont want to sound greedy but i would love to have these dvds. not to mention a quiet tranquil place to enjoy them.
