link slut
i am an admitted link slut. sometimes i see something linked on someone else's page and i just cant help but share the info. the world's longest palindrome. there i did it. ha! and no one can stop me. muahahahaha. (please note, i am not insane, i just wanted to do the insane laugh. you know. muahahhahahaha...) and i guess i should give credit to the owner of the link. thanks again. i always take links. at least i link to the original linker. i give props. (ha i said props.) i am in such a good mood today. hrmm. lets hope it lasts.
dont you love it when you go to store to buy a certain thing. and then you tell yourself that you wont spend more than a certain ammount. you find the thing you want to buy. its about half of what you were expecting to spend. then when you go to check out its $2 cheaper than marked. i love spending money and saving it all at the same time....
happy day off.
i think that i might change my scheduled hours soon. i really want to have saturdays off. its starting to get warmer. i am getting nutty being in that room all day when i could be in the mountains with my friends. if they let me i want to work 7am - 4pm monday, wednesday, thursday and friday. thats about 34 / 35 hours with the half an hour lunch break a day. it would be great to have the week ends off and tuesday off. i can do all my home work tuesday morning. then go to class tuesday afternoon. and i can have fun on the weekends and do weekend things. you know have... things like having fun. i dont care how old i get or how responsible or what have you, i still want to have fun. fuck that all work no play shit i see all around me. so what if it takes longer for me to do something. i took my time. i smelled the roses.
i dont want to seem greedy but...
i really want a new computer desk. and i dont really want a cheap one, but i know i will have to deal with more partical board and veener. the desk i have now was obtained at sams club. it was $79.99 i think. or it was $99.99, regardless it was not (in my opionion) a lot to pay for a desk. it has no drawers. that infurates me more each day. the wheels on the bottom are broken. so i cant move the desk too well. at least if it didnt have wheels i could slid it sort of. but now if i move it, the wheel just break even more. i have looked at target not to many desks for what i want: room for your computer / printer / scanner and with just a couple of drawers for my shit. i hate staring at all mu junk all day long. walmart. nothing. crate and barrel = not bad. but $999.99 kmart (or bluelight.com) no drawers hmmm another neat one at crate and barrel. and again no drawers at kmart. this is cool, and on sale! i didnt know that circuity city has desks.

sorry, addie, i was never a fan of those teasers ;)i have the studio desk from crate & barrel - all supa modern glass & titanium looking chrome. it was about $190, i think. but, no drawers. i wanted sleek & simple, and have lots of those little cart-y looking 3-drawer deals already, so i didn't need something with lots of drawers. it looks rad :) but, it was really hard to find, as it was a decent price for a nice looking desk.
i need to get a chair now. i have my heart set on this fucking dope bungee thing from this swanky furniture shop - really too expensive, but i'm going to allow it as i just got a friend a job, and if he makes it 3 months, i'll get a $250 bonus, and the chair just happens to cost $239 - i just hope he can make it 3 months!!

warmth.....can't remember all of the riddle, but there's a clue.
Posted by april @ 02/27/2002 11:01 PM CST
no one any good at brain teasers?
so well... are you all a bunch of wussies. only one person attempted to answer the puzzle? come on. you all suck. by the way i was sent something today that is very beautiful. i dont know who created it, but well done. thank you:
riddle me this...
You are on the first floor a 2 level house and on the wall there are 3 light switches lined up side by side. One of those light switches controls a light bulb on the second floor the others do nothing. You CANNOT see the light bulb from the first floor, nor can you see it from the stairwell. You must figure out which switch controls that light bulb. The rules are simple: You can go up stairs once and only once, you can't go outside and you have between the hours of 11am to 12pm (yes, one hour). How do you know which switch controls that bulb? (compliments of my coworker neil)
and i am so sorry but i wont do this because it was all just too horrible... i know yours was bad erin, but i just hated everything about mine, the big poofey hair, the pink lipstick, everything was not me. it was some big poofey haired chick. they should have glamour-sized you in your own way. everyone was poofey.
last night eric myself, and two of our friends went to the Guilded Otter Microbrewery. it has great food, great beer, great music. we brought home a jug of beer that was brewed on site. hell all the beer is brewed on site. i want to go back again. the more i think about it, the more i want to go... its just my new favorite restraunt. and you need to check out the mutherfucking awesome website. i want to go back again next weekend. hell i want to go tonight.

oh, but my "girl" popping out in front of 100 people wasn't horrible!?!?? :)

Hey, I like that!

art history paper subject.
dorothea lange.
all i needed to know i learned in elementary school.
when i was younger i was a girl scout thinking back i had fun, and i learned some valuable things about life.
- there is always a scapegoat (i did not learn spelling) by that i mean someone that gets blamed for everything, yelled at if the group is chatting and so on. i belive that was me. i was the bad girlscout. addie stop talking. addie stop this stop that... my friends were always in cahoots, but i was the one that got the blame. lesson: dont take what others say to heart, they may not think before they speak. & authority figures are not always correct or fair.
- make new friends, but keep the old. one is silver and the other is gold. ive got something in my pocket, it belongs across my face, i keep it very close to me in a most convient place. now i am sure you'll never guess it. if you guess a long long while, so i'll take it out and put it on, its a great big brownie smile! lesson: silly songs have meaning.
- play silly games that make you laugh and run and giggle and scream. have sleep overs in a cabin in the woods and tell ghost stories. lesson: never grow up, take some time away from work, college, what have you and just have fun.
- badges are easy to earn, just read the book. lesson: follow directions.
- have fun. make a mess, but always clean it up when you are done. lesson: clean up after yourself, life will be easier if we all do this.
- wake up early. meet your friends somewhere. have fun all day picking up garbage, talking, and spending time out side. (youll get a certificate from big improtant goverment person) lesson: volunteer your time. clean up on earth day. respect others.
- at camp dont be afraid of daddy long legs, you might have a nest in your tent and have to kill about ten a day. lesson: fear nothing.
- if you go to make up & beauty camp because your friend wants to go, and she ends up dicking out on you dont be upset that you didnt sign up for the wilderness child session. lesson: make the best of things / if you dont like make up wipe it off / do your own thing.
- bug juice does not have bugs in it. lesson: things arent always what they seem.
- and finally great green globs of greasey grimey gofer guts, mutalated monkeys meat, little birdies dirty feet and i forgot my spoon, oh darn. lesson: always be prepared for anything.
on another note: hey ladies, christine has set up a phunkybloggers webring. go join.
you know ladies, you make me want to redesign my site too. now check out laura, she has been a redsigning nut. see previous post, she helped redo miss ellen's site. oh its monday the 18th, time to order tickets. well actually i just checked the site and could not find a toll free number. grrr. And of course tickets dont go on sale until 10am. why did i not realize that. who am i buying tickets from. i bet some freakydeakyhippie, why on earth would they be ready to function before 10am? i can barely comprend anything this early myself.
actually i enjoy being up early in the morning, everything is so still and quiet... i remember attending the all night grad party in high school. but the part that i remember the most is leaving around 5am and stopping at my river (well its not mine, but i love it there...) and being in awe. it was so beautiful. i know that image will remain engraved into my memory forever. the river was covered with a mist, and it was slowing rising... you could only hear an occaisional bird or animal make some sound in the distance. once in a while there was the slpash of a fish jumping out of the water. i felt completely at peace. i think i might drag eric out of bed one morning and go back there...
here are rick's pictures of it, and here is the mural that my friend colleen and i painted in school. she did the arm, i did the lettering and helped with the tassel. it was a fun trip, looking back i wish i had spent more times in the museums. i guess i will have to go back again soon.
so laura whats surprise?? i am so freaking curious. and everyone go check out miss ellen. she has got a groovey new layout. its friday! woot! well i guess i can give a half of a woot. i have to work tommorrow. like always... well the secret was the redsign. well done girls.
i have just entered to win a new dream home. i know my chances to win are a bizillion to one. but hey. its just like the lottery, hey you never know.
and i think it would be a fun idea to have a big ol' blog of everyone and a phunky blog ring thing so who wants to set things up? where do we want them? and that ring thing, i sure as hell wont be the master. leblanc do you want to? (i feel like a gym teacher using your last name) and i have some one who should definately participate. but i wont lnk to her, she hasnt given me permisson to yet. i know one day at work she will tell me that i can...
Replies: ...5
thanks for your friday five answers :-)blog ring set up - if i had any friggin idea how to set it up, i'd do it. i guess i can take some of my extra time here at work ,which seems to be in abunance these days, or maybe i'm just not paying attention? to look it up. i'll get back to you on that.
and don't feel like a gym teacher. i have 2 best friends named Amy and Aimee ,and plus more friends named Amy, so it's way easier that way. plus, i kind of like it.

I would do it too, but much like ms. leblanc, I have no idea how to run a webring. Maybe a co-blog? That I can set up...just did it for the new Reba's sections at phunky.com. Oh joy. :)

Ok, I'm a dork, but we're up...I think. Now I just need your email, Ms. Addie!

i see red.
why? you ask. well silly, its valentines day. i used to celebrate this day by wearing black. black everything, black lipstick... black you name it i wore it. of course i had blue hair at the time also... so i was black and blue. hehe. anyway, i have grown out of that stage of my life. so heres to you... HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!
oh yeah before i forget i got an invitation in the mail the other day... it looks like its gonna be a good one. even though last year's kinda really sucked.
thanks erica and erica for the valentines day greetings! you both rock. its kinda silly that the only ones that sent me anything were erica's.
so last night i started typing in some of my notes. yes i do that, no i am not crazy. it makes me read them again and polishes up my typing skills. well i deleted an entire class worth of notes last night. i am just a dumbass sometimes.
on another note, i watched the superbowl and i did see a commerical that confused the flying fuck out of me. i helped blow up buildings and what not... an anti drug commerical. its the new war on drugs. well if you and i are like minded you will enjoy this article. by the way, link complimets of erica (i miss you too).

I read an interesting POV on this on Melo where she quoted this article..."...given the fact that 15 out of the 19 hijackers, and most of the detainees in Cuba, came from Saudi Arabia where the ruling family, glutted with oil profits, has coddled extremists for decades why no taxpayer-funded ad showing a soccer mom filling up her SUV and saying: 'I helped blow up buildings?'

on march 2nd i will be visiting the newark museum. according to my art history professur (is that the french version of the word?) it will be fun no matter what you have heard about newark.
right now on the discovery channel i am watching poor little penguins try to get on a ice berg... those things are durable little creatures.
its been a rough day...
okay i am slow. here is my graduation picture. you cant see it but i am wearing a couple of hemp necklaces, and an amber one. the guy who took the picture insisted that i leave them on, but the old woman helping him was not too happy about that. he was so funny... telling me that everyone else was just so ugly it hurt and he was happy i was there and so on and so on... i know he was lying through his teeth but it was good to hear.
its been such a long day. work for some reason seemed really um... rediculous. did you hear me world. it was stupid. i hate yes, hate the unfair treatment, the its who you know, the its whos ass you lick, the crappy crappy crap. and i know that you will find all kinds of office politics and drama everywhere. but hopefully i find a career where its not as strong as it is where i am now. but on another note i found $30 in my pants that i changed into to get the hell out of work clothes. so now eric and i are going to waste that money on a nice dinner out. so yeah. heres to a shitty day and hopefully a better night. i have been reading her page quite a lot, i am thinking of adding it to my daily list... and if you are bored check out my old site.
and dont think i have forgotten... erica i love you. happy birthday to you... happy birthday to you... happy birthday dear erica, happy birthday to you!

a long day at work.
enough said. it was a long day at work. i was thinking about changing my hours from 8-3 instead of 9-4. hmmm... i think i might. yes i think i might.
happy weird spelling month.
okay so english isnt my finest point. but dont you think that February is spelled strangely? well i do. so its a new month. a short month. warmer weather should be on the way soon...
xm radio sounds really um, groovey. but i think i would rather save my money on that and put it towards a faster connection. i am so tired of slow boring waits. it makes me not want to go online. someday soon i will get roadrunner or something. anything. faster. i dont have an hour to waste waiting for one song to download.
you know i would love to spend 3 days and 2 nights here. maybe. hmmm... i might want to treat myself. eh who knows...
