everyone should take about ten minutes or so and just tour the armory show. i think it will be worth your time.
art news
okay so i have to admit that this post may not intrest every one. but in my art history book there is an image titled "James and Sarah Tuttle" and i found one that is the same exact picture but its "John and Abigail Montgomery", now i know that the artist just uses the same damn format for his work. that kind of stuff just tickles me. its adelina!
so okay they can be good and they can be bad. some one close to my mother passed away on my birthday. now each year my birthday will remind her of that. so they can be good and they can be bad. this year it was not so good.
Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond's glint on snow, I am the sunlight on ripening grain, I am the gentle autumn's rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting rush, of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry I am not there, I did not die.

so it was bring your daughter to work day. since i dont have daughters and my mom has school i took my sisters to work. it was interesting. so i had two cakes on my birthday. i dont feel any older, just lazy. (will i ever get out of here? for fucks sake i have been done with that place for a while...) at least now i know what i want to do. so going there and taking my sweet-assed time made me decide.
summer 2002. its comming soon.
in other news i was added to this on my birthday.
what are the odds? that jesi would send me the same card that erica sent me. for a minute i thought i lost my mind. thank you everyone for sending the birthday wishes. and thank you rosalie for making me a barbie birthday cake. it was yummy.
well i have spent the last ten minutes trying to open one of the presents eric got me for my birthday. i know its a day early but he got it while i was there - so he didnt feel like wrapping it. and now i am off to play it! what a stupid cheat.
artdaily.com, artchive.com, artcyclopedia.com, american art, google.com & altavista.com please help me today! i need to make note cards and i threw my scanner out the window. and i havent bought a digital camera yet.
i was watching some show on hgtv and they said that if you have basil planets around the house you will never have another fly bug you. that sounds like something i would like to try.
Replies: ...1 Hey stinky... the basil is not why you have not flies. it's cause you smell like poooooooo!!!!!! anyway, happy the day before your birthday... we need to do something again soon...Me

so when i woke up this morning i thought i had to hop in the shower right away. i kept hitting the snooze button. it was 6:30 am. yeah the dumbass that i am didnt realize that it was sunday until 7am. some times i am a dolt.
okay i have been thinking. from this day forth the only color clothes i will be purchasing is black. that way it goes with everything that i already have. (maybe grey and white too... eh i dont know for now its just black.) and i want more jewelry. yep. you heard me, i want more of it. but i dont want that expensive kind you buy at the damn snotty jewelry store. i want jems, stones, whatever you want to call them. namely i want more amber. i love amber, and i need more of it. i need to find my look and go with it. i feel like a tomboy with teeshirts and jeans all the damn time. i need something i look good in and feel like i am wearing the jeans and teeshirts. eh. someday soon i hope to find my "look". hopefully that will make me comfortable with myself. comfy but stylish. yeah... anyone know what i am talking about? or is this just a late sunday night rambling fest?
Replies: ...3
i know how you feel. i often think about finding my "look" but then i think about how easy jeans and t-shirts really are, and i do hate shopping. but then again i have kids that seem to ruin everything including my clothes...or a husband who puts dry clean only in the washer. but hey, at least he is trying to help.

yo. off to the otter. have a great mutherfucking weekend. and for the record my birthday is the 24. just so you know its 4.20 today ;)
okay so over last weekend my webhosting company was bought out and i was moved some where. okay fucking nice of them to tell me this shit. hmmm. i am now happy that i called them and found this shit out. its been the first time that i have ever needed technical support. to fix something that i didnt even know changed! damn. oh and i bet thats why everything i wrote last saturday got lost in cyber space.
i need grey. grey is neutral. grey is indecision. grey is muddled. grey is me. (for now at least.) now i have to dick around with greymatter. i think i might just try moveable type again. i think i should be able to use it... eh i am going to bed. (its really closer to midnight, but since greymatter is fucky i cant add a new entry like i want to... not that i usually use more than one post a day and then just edit it... eh i am getting funny. sleep now i must. )
okay so why on earth are there drivers that must pass me when i am a good distance from the car in front of me. okay so i dont tail gate, but with you passing me and squeezing in now i am. grrr. there are about 10 cars nicely spaced in front of me. and there is a some what steady supply of cars comming at me. so why on earth would you pass me?! i just dont get it. and and and this is the best part... not a mile down the road, (okay maybe a mile, but no more than two) you turn. the damn car turned. so you pass me then turn. its even worse than cutting me off to turn. i hate stupid drivers. (that makes me feel really old.)
i am getting more pissed each minute. i can use greymatter but i cant use my ftp program. it says my login is incorrect. fucking grr. i even downloaded a new program and put in every thing all new and fresh. i am getting mad. i cant even login to my moms. AHAKAKAKAK! thanks a freaking lot webhosting.com oh and dont let me forget about the million and one times i could not see my page or i got a forbidden error. grrrr.
i was mad at greymatter. i posted here on saturday. but for some reason it disappeared. but now i am thinking it wasnt greymatter at all. i think my over priced hosting company sucks. i tried to login using ws_ftp but for some odd reason it says that my password is incorrect. fucking over-priced shits.
right now hostrock.com looks very good. any feedback from happy customers? or what about powweb.com? hrmmm...

Don't get mad-get even
you're a very smart girl you can find a way.
I have no opinion on your web hostin web sights but...
I have been turned on to a cool mag and website I thought you might think is cool as well. Its Bust mag and correlated website is bust.com I wanted to tell you about this stuff the other night but was greymatter dead.
There is some very rad women photographers I thought you'd like (you more than likely know about them): Nan Goldin and Cindy Sherman; also check out Carolee Schneeman she's a performance artist- very hip. You should definitely check out this years Whitney Biennial- lots of video and photography- also a new non-profit art mag that I just got turned onto by James of all people- BOMB. Awesome. We should all get together again. play spades eat drink and be merry I need more of that. Love you kP

i have a free host, which is owe so much to my roomie for finding me some space on a friends' box.anyhow, just a note - i've read lots of comments from people that use http://aletiahosting.com/ and they have lots of problems - stay away from them!

I use Hostsave and have been generally very happy with it. At $7.95/mo (60mb storage, 6gig transfer - maybe more?) I can't complain.

addie, i actually use hostrocket so i can give you the dish. they offer the MOST space for the lowest price (i think it's 350 mgs for 14.95/month) however, they are down rather frequently - since i joined in december, it's been down at least 5 times. the outages are usually short-lived (under 2 hours) but once my site was down for 15 hours!!i thought all the space would be worth it, but out of 350 mgs, i only use about 30 and that's including some bandwidth-sucking mp3's.
on the good side, their support team always gets back to me within minutes and they always offer to do stuff for me that is above and beyond their jobs.
they are the only company i have ever used so maybe that downtime isn't so bad. i'd say if you want the space (maybe for hostees and music) then go for it, but be prepared for the occasional outage.

hmm who is your host now? i use dreamhost and i've never had a problem. hardly any downtime at all (maybe a few minutes on occasions, but that's it, i can't remember my site really being down for a long period of time) and great customer service. plus they upgraded all of their plans so the cheapest one seems to have anything most people would need (full cgi access and 100MB storage, though bandwidth is only 2GB a month but i'm never sure how much bandwidth most sites even use a month anyway). i think that plan is advertised as $9.95 a month, but i believe that is just if you pay at once, if you pay monthly i think it's a bit more (maybe $12.95?). i'm not sure because i get auto-billed and i have some weird plan that i got awhile ago and the price was frozen on it. i'm sure there are cheaper hosts these days, but i've never had any reason to switch in almost 3 years of using them (and i think back then they were one of the cheaper places). of course this is the only host i've ever used.

i have some words of wisedom for everyone. Before you criticise someone, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, if he gets angry, he'll be a mile away - and barefoot. thank you for you time and have a nice day. oh wait. no. NO thank you. only one person on the planet has a digital camera?! i dont think so. screw all of you that didnt share with me.

hrm yeah, like ellen said below, i have the same camera as her, which i like a lot. i think it might be hard to find something for $200, but if you can go up to $300 there are some good options. i'm sure you could probably try mysimon.com and search for the fuji finepix 2600 (or any other camera for that matter) and find it for $50 or so cheaper online.

so today i bought myself 5 new shirts. well, 4 because one was see through and i needed the tank to go with it. $119 but i had a coupon $93. i went to the car. sat there. thought. went to get a chicken sandwich at kfc. went back to the store and returned everything. i cant spend that much money on just a few shirts. i did go and buy myself a new wallet. i have been wanting a new wallet for a while. i love it.
i got back my paper today. 95. not too bad. so now i have to decide what digital camera to get. i really dont want to spend more than $200 or so... but i want good quality. and i know you get what you pay for, but i dont have $1000 to spend on a camera. hmm. any suggestions? help! erica! which camera do you have? anyone and everyone. help me. i want to pick it up next tuesday, so i have a week to research it.

i have a sony psc-p50. it has 2.1 megapixel resolution (i think that is the term) and 6x optical focus. i am fairly happy with its performance. recently, i printed out a picture taken in 1024x640 size, standard mode (as opposed to fine) and printed it on my printer with 8x11 kodak paper, and it was only digitally looking at high scrutiny. so if you were to use a higher resolution and the fine mode, i think it would rock. my only complaint is that it takes a LONG time between shots to be ready again. And you have to buy the assessory packs to make it worth while (long lasting lithium battery and charger, extra memory stick). I give it 4 out of five stars!

good for you for returning the shirts :-)it's very hard determining the difference between what we want and need, isn't it?

i dropped $299 for mine - but it's a totally decent camera, and i've been talking the shit out of my seach on my site - sorry i missed your post asking about it!anyhow, if you can go up to $299, the fuji finepix (which renee pointed me in the direction of) only uses 2 batteries, it comes with rechargeables & a charger...you absolutely MUST use rechargeable batteries with digicams. seriously, do not even think about not doing this.
and yes, dcresource.com was the best - helped me narrow down my choices & then i went to see them in person & walked out a very happy camper.

this really isnt so much an acutal post to my weblog, its more of a bitching complaint. i hate it when people change the cursor. on my page i want to be different and make the damn arrow a freakin cross-hair and when it goes over a link it is magically the damn one that re-sizes things. it drives me up the fucking wall. pardon my french, but i really hate it with a capital HATE. /my silly rant, have a nice day.
so who was an hour late for anything today? not me. because i had nothing to do today. it was fun. actually today i went to target. my goal was to spend less than $200. which was only exceeded by $3.67. i trashed my old computer desk. it surved the purpose for a while. but it was cheap and the wheels broke. so i am now using an old table and a little hutch that i picked up today for 35 bucks. i am sure that i could have gotten something different, but eh oh well i liked the one picked. i also bought two new side table lamps. hrmm. i picked up some great curtain rods. i stiched up my wall hanging so now i am using that to divide my room. (note: i am now occupying two rooms in my house. i have a living room and a bed room.) i also have new curtain rods for the windows in my bedroom. (i need to make new curtains because the ones in here are too light. hrm. oh yeah i also bought a hat rack for eric, he always looses his damn hats, now he can put them all in one place.
well i would like to say that i am going to opening day. and i will be having a fucking great time. and rosalie sent me some thing funny about shit. i thought i would share it with everyone.
so eric and i got my mom and my dad. i looked as serious as i could and told my mom that eric and i decided to get married next month, two days after her birthday. she let out a gasp and sat down. eric had to turn away because he couldnt keep a straight face. she put her hand on her head and looked like she was going to pass out, so i said april fool. i did the same thing to my dad when he came home. he looked at me, "are you on drugs?". eric was in the other room, he wouldnt be able to not smile. then i said of course not, april fool. he proceeded to excuse himself while he shits his pants.
i love april fools day. i told my mother to call my gramma and tell her that she found a marriage certificate in my room. i listened in and my gramma was calm the whole time. she sounded just barely shocked...
i think eric must have gotten brett the best. he told him that i was pregnant. and just to set the record straight. i am not. that was an april fools joke.
may the force be with you... wish me luck on my exam.
i discovered an awesome new site with images from art history. AskART.com hell yeah. i hope it is as good as i think it is.
if anyone ever sends me mail using adelina@geeklife.com dont do it anymore. i am not ever going to check that again. it sucks. i hate it. i only use it if something needs an email to register to use. i hate it. i hate it, i hate it. there were about 800 emails sent to me. not one from anyone i know. so please. never send me anything to that address if you want me to read it. thanks for your time. have a happy april fools.
okay so today on the way to work i was listening to wpdh and they were telling some story about if you lived in an even number house your water would be shut off on even numbered days. and if you lived in an odd number house it would be turned off on odd numbered days. then they went on to say that there would be guards patroling the neighborhood to ensure that these rules be followed. hehe. i wonder how many people believed that...
so today at work i wanted to get some of my coworkers for april fools day. one of my coworkers and i decided to try to write an email from our boss to everyone in our department. we of course changed the name on the email address we used to make it look like it did come from our boss. the email basically said that there was a possiblitly that the entire department would be cleaned out due to non-productivity. now, you see there have been people leaving and layoffs, so this might have been realistic. of course at the bottom we had inserted happy april fools' day. we did get one of our coworkers. she was squeeking she was so upset. i was watching her, waiting for her to read the bottom of the email. she yelled and laughed and squeeked some more. i do enjoy working with her, i am glad that she was happy about it. i wasnt sure the reactions we were going to get and it was fun.
enough of my incoherent rambling. i will shut up now.
