Operating with only 4 hours sleep.

I must admit that the show last night was wonderful. I discovered a great new band called Rane. Check them out on the web at the sound of rane dot com. Eric and I had every intent to purchase one of their cds but we left empty handed, now I guess I must do it online. I also had wanted to get the new DBB cd while I was there to avoid shipping charges and get it right then and there... but alas they did not have any.

The show was great- each band really got their groove on and the venue was so small that you could see every one in the band. We had great seats at the end of the night in the balcony just above the band. It was really intamate almost like they were playing for a small group of friends. I didn't even know that many phunksters were nearby. Three bands for only ten bucks! Damn we are thrifty.

We did not get home until around 2:30am. Of course crazy freaking me awoke at 6:45am to make myself lunch and get ready for work. I was planning on leaving early but ended up lasting the day. Now I am ready to drop. Sweet dreams everyone.

A toss up.

Right now I really dig the black-eyed susan skin and the free cool breeze skin. Which one do you like? How do they look? Are they all in working order? I can't wait to see Deep Banana Blackout tonight. Their new singer Hope does well but she will never replace Jen in my heart. And Jen's new band is okay but not as funky as DBB... It is like they have taken jelly away from peanut butter. Okay so for shits and giggles I clicked on a link that the lovely Ariel provided on her site. I thought it was joke. But it could not be more serious. You can check out Vinnie's tampon cases and find a store nearest you to buy them and you can even buy them online. For the love of God please women- lets be smart and not purchase a tampon case from some guy named Vinnie with an icky looking website.

What to do around here.

Okay so I have been thinking about what I do on my weekends. Mostly because Erica seems to have such fun-filled weekends. So I am going to give you a taste of what I have planned to do the rest of the summer, hell for the rest of forever. I be exposed to more culture. My art history field trip once every six months is just not cutting it.

Howe Caverns or maybe the Iroquois Museum (actually that is sad, whats left is in a museum... don't get me started on how I feel about Native Americans.) We will go to the Ommegang Brewery. Perhaps the Alison Vineyard which is near Greig Farms (the site of last years vibes.) I would also enjoy seeing some folk art at the Fenimore Art Museum. Why not go to the Baseball Hall of Fame? For those of you with a need for speed try going to the Classic Car Museum. Erica and I have already been to see the World's Largest Kaleidoscope which is part of Catskill Corners.

Sunday Dreary Sunday

Alright, Eric and I ended up not making it to the movies. But we did go to Charlie Brown's Steakhouse. Yum. Lobster. Yum. But mark my words we are going to see the movie Tuesday night. We both thought about it- opening night - millions of people. Are we nuts?! We don't enjoy large crowds in that kind of setting.

We say Mr. Deeds on a bootleg dvd. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the human race but not in a movie theatre. I always have such a great seat until the previews come on and then Godzilla sits directly in front of me. Then the people behind me buy a bag of candy and crinkle the fucking bag all night! Some how I always want to blow up a few rows of people.

Enough of that silly rant. We are going Tuesday night. And tonight we will be venturing into Potown to see Deep Banana Blackout and Strangefolk. Sorry Erica! I will be in your neck of the woods but Eric doesn't get out of work until 6pm tonight and we won't have enough time to see you. Or wait are you back in the village? You are on summer vacation now aren't you?

Tweak.

I have begun to skin. But of course I am having some problems. Ugh. I don't like the page with the list of skins. I just want to be able to click from skin to skin, which I have done. But the problem is that the skin does not stay when you move from one page to another... Any suggestions or help? Something about a cookie needing to load before the page does? ugh.

I need to use more css positioning so I can make the layouts completely different. And I may just break down and have that "choose your skin" page. One thing at a time. Now its time to relax and watch the boob tube.

Afraid.

My site has been going through some odd shit. I hope this updates. Hell I had so much to say and its all gone now... I have not been able to login to moveable type and I broke down and called technical support. Hopefully it helped... (I logged in didn't I?) Anywho... I think I have mastered the site skinning, look for that in a week or two.

Today we will be heading up to country, or in normal not Canned Heat speak, we are going to the mountains today! I am such a cheap date. Just take me to open spaces, lots of trees, fresh air, and even a stream or two and I am just happier than a pig in shit!

And I get to play with my new digital camera up there today. By the way, right now I think I have 43 images on my little 8MB memory card. Of course they are not the highest resolution but they look pretty fucking good to me! Spend another $80 on a 128MB memory card my ass.

Magazines suck.

Okay so I am a dumbass. I called to cancel a magazine that I ordered on Amazon.com. Of course the magazine that I had ordered ceased publication. I was never informed of this. Duh. OF course my company never informs you of this. Seventeen magazine will be sent instead. One little problem, I already have a subsrciption to that magazine. (Please note: I hate both of those publications, but they were Christmas gifts for my sisters.) This is all just a pain in my ass and I should have known better.

Long story short, I am only getting partical credit for the damn magazine that I have only recieved one of! Ugh.

Time to play!

I got it! I got it! I am going to read the manuel to my new digital camera! But before I do I must clean up my room and my desk. I cannot stand the clutter.

Damn. A few friends of mine like hello kitty, but I think that this is going a bit far.

Now I feel like an old person. I just spent $2100 on a new tv.

Okay so once again I am a link slut but this time it is because this kills me. Check out the Humane Society of North Texas. It just disgusts me. When I was a child I did have pets- dogs, lizards, cats, etc... Hell just recently I realized that Beebee is not living on a nice farm with lots of land to run around. (Yes for some reason thats what my mother told me about my dog...)

Now that Eric's dog Noah (who I claim as mine as well!) is living with us that website just kills me even more. I don't know what reaction I would have if someone set my dog on fire. It is difficult enough to see someone else's dog looking like that.

I had a little get together the other evening. We must have been a little too loud. The cops showed up to remind me that I need to be quiet. But they were very nice (from what I could remember...) I am sure that I looked like a very drunk (shoeless) nut.

In news today I got a free lunch so I will have to eat the one I brought today for lunch tomorrow. Some times things are very simple. You want free lunch you ask for free lunch. I even orderd from the expensive place. $47 for four people. Plus what ever tip he gave. What does it matter anyway the company paid.

In other awesome news I got my order from Campmor. I ordered it on Tuesday, it only took two days to get here. But maybe because it is not that far away. Bright Sunshiney Day.

For some reason I have been in an extra good mood today! That is really crazy because it was my first day back to the dreaded office hell. Call me freaking nuts but I really had a great day.

I am a dork because I forgot to pick up the pictures after work today which means I have to go back out. I don't mind that much because it was such a warm and sunny day. Mind you I said warm not hot and humid and sticky. I just love wonderful days like this...

August's edition of Real Simple has ways to de-clutter your life! I have not read it yet but I can't wait- hopefully it will give me some new ideas.

Trying... To... Val... Okay so I have spent a lot of time trying to get my site to validate but I am still having a difficult time getting it correct. Hell some of the problems aren't even my code. I must say that I am still glad I am trying to clean up my code because now my site looks much better in nutscrape! Well I didn't want to spoil anything but I finally figured out this but there is one little problem with that. The layout is basically the same just with different colors. I don't want to fiddle with mt tags so now that i under stand what Rick made for Laura and me I can try to understand this. Uggh. Enough of this mumbo jumbo for today, I want to relax and maybe watch a thunderstorm... (I think i hear one brewing...)

Digital Camera! The digital camera that I really want is now only $299.99! I should be getting it next Tuesday! Today I may check out some websites about used/new/used cars. I am thinking about getting a 1998 or so... Damn a new used car... Only in my dreams right now.

If I were rich I would get this, but I could settle for this.

Brown Baggin' It. Okay I have made a decision. I am bringing my lunch to work. I will make everything the night before. It is okay- my sandwich won't get soggy. We have a special container that you can put your sandwich in and mayo or mustard or whatnot separate. I have been thinking about it - I spend $2.00 - $3.00 in the morning for breakfast and then $5.00 - $6.00 for lunch. That could total up to $9.00 a day. Damn.

I figure that I could spend $10.00 and Eric could spend $10.00 a week on lunch supplies. That would save me a shitload of money. Why am I all of a sudden a cheapsake? Over the weekend I came to the conculsion that I will be purchasing a new car. I am tired of sitting in a line of cars waiting to get into a show in 100 degree heat with the heater on so my 1991 Jeep Cherokee won't over heat.

I would like to hear any suggestions about what sort of car/small suv to get. I saw a nice Lexus but I know that I will not be able to afford that. So help me out! Four wheel drive is a must and no station wagons.

I want more! Let me say that going to the vibes was something that I have needed for quite some time. I just love the drive to the show. That is when it all starts. You see one car filled with kids and you just know where they are headed. The farther along you get the more cars you see filled with people that will be going to the show with you. I get that giddy little school girl feeling! I can't wait... Are we there yet?

When Phil Lesh played the second night we had a full blown longest I have ever seen Glow Stick War. We rocked that for a good part of Shakedown Street. He played songs that I have never even thought about seeing at a live show. There was also a fucking awesome bunch of fire works in between the two sets Phil Lesh and Friends played.

I already ordered my (mutherfucking expensive as all hell, put me in debt forever) berkfest tickets. Next I will try to get tickets / days off for gathering on the mountain and the endless mountains music festival. I want to go back already...

Sleepless in New York

Last night I could not get to sleep. I rolled over and looked at the clock 12:34am, then it was 1:26am, 2:45am, 3:50am, 5:20am, 6:30am - the radio blared in my ear. I was over joyed that I slept all through 4am. That made me just a little bit happy. For a Monday today was not too bad. Even with the lack of sleep I had last night the day went by pretty smoothly. I am counting down the hours until I get to go to the vibes! (about 64 to go...)
