Goodbye 2002!

Be safe. Hangover Helpers.

Getting Old.

Last night good friends of ours took us to see The Slip. They were good but I prefered the opening band. I have got a thing for funky reggae. The show did not start until 10pm and was at the Bowery Ballroom. (Which I fell in love with and wish there was one in po-town or something.) I just can't take shows that late because of the ride home. Ugh. Thank goodness I did not have to drive home - I would have probably fallen asleep at the wheel.

TGIF

Yippie! It is Friday! I only worked two days this week yet I still celebrate. Wouldn't you? The day after Christmas should be named "National Clean Up Your Shit Day". Gifts, paper, clothes, glasses... you name it and it was just all over the place.

I must thank Santa for getting me a PDA. It rocks mom! I can't wait for more days off - geez 2003! I can hardly believe it.

P.S. Screw you guy that smashed my fiancé's car while it was parked - drug it six feet and tried to get away.

After reading Erica's site I figured that I should also mention my New Year's resolutions. Just for the record I kept the two that I made last year. 1. No more fast food - I think I could count on one hand the ammount of meals that I had at a fast food joint. It was my last resort and I got a salad or something - no fries. 2. Cut back on the Mountain Dew Code Red. It tastes like a Shirley Temple but with loads of sugar and caffine. I am happy to say that I no longer drink soda of any kind. I am now a water baby! (I love you Nalgene! Check out this awesome Christmas present.)

So long story longer - my resolution this year is again two fold. First Continue my jogging routine. (and continue to bring salad to work for lunch). Second I will save money. I know this is one that everyone wants but seriously I want to have a nice little stash in the bank for a rainy day.

Merry Christmas!

It is going to SNOW!!! We could be getting anywhere from 10 to 24 inches! I love the snow, I want to go sledding!

December 23, 2002

Finally.

I redesigned skin number 9. I am very pleased with it. That is a photo of a marble sculpture by the way. No more work until Friday... Ahh... You have no idea how happy that makes me. Kettle and Cranberry here I come.

Meet the kitten.

So here is the cat that my grandma does not want. Yet she bought tons of food, toys and kitty treats. My grandma wants to call her Baby. My grandfather wants to call her Sleeping Beauty. I think I am going to side with my grandpa on this one.

December 20, 2002

soon...

I think my favorite so far is "Addie you're melting!"

Only in...

I have seen these images before in some kind of forward. Some one decided to put them online for all the world to enjoy. Warning - cheesey music will accompany the images.

Back Fire.

Okay so my wonderful plan to surprise my grandparents did not work. My grandfather seemed really happy and was talking to the kitty, but my grandmother on the other hand was livid. She does not want a cat. "Take it away, get rid of it..." What in the hell is her problem? She does not want to fall on the cat?!! What in the hell kind of excuse is that?

Kitty!

So I guess I just can't wait for Christmas at all this year. Today I am going to pick up a kitty cat for my Grandma. I am going to deliver her first thing this morning. I just cannot have another cat in the house. We have three right now, plus a bunny, and my dog. Enough animals! They make my nose stuffy; I just deal with it and kill lots of trees (tons of tissues). Anyway, I will bring my digi (haha hah - digital camera) to take pictures for my mom to see. She wishes she could be there - I guess I could wait until tonight, but I don't want my dog to think that the kitty is a snack for him.

Little Drummer Boy.

It seems that Eric and his friends love the drums. Hell, I love the drums too. They usually do not start playing until 12am. Four drunken fools attempting to have some kind of rhythm. Why oh why do they instist on playing while drunk and at the worst time of night? I would really love a drum circle - with a beat - before midnight.

We exchanged gifts a bit early this year. Eric got his Xbox and I got a beautiful new amber necklace. He still has a few games to open and I have something else to open as well. I think I like the early exchange - so then Christmas can be Christmas.

I could not have picked a better necklace myself...

Sandra.

For some crazy reason I just love Sandra Bullock. Well not really, but I do enjoy her movies. Demolition Man - funny. The Net - intertained me. While you were sleeping - adorable. Practical Magic - sweet. 28 Days - I saw when I was drunk... Miss Congeniality - funny. Ya-ya sisterhood - Eric picks on me about liking it. I enjoy corny movies, and I enjoy her acting. She may be horrid to you but I do not care - her movies make me smile.

December 10, 2002

Tickets.

Yippie. I now have phish tickets! Finally they are going to let me into one of their shows. Hopefully today I finish up my Christmas shopping. I know what I am going to get my mother, but Eric oh Eric, I don't have a clue what to get him.

December 09, 2002

Radio!

It seems that I can listen to the radio online again. At least radio VH1 - you have to become a member. So that means another username and password to remember. Ugh. I can remember seeing an address type book at Target a while ago but when you open it up there were spaces for all of your user names and passwords and the website to which they belong. Kinda nifty...

December 08, 2002

A new look.

I have decided to use a splash page, if you will. My log silly updates will be located at /log from now on. I think I like it like this, eh who the hell knows. I change my mind at the drop of a hat. Ready to bake cookies? Seal them for use later? oh hell yeah.

Two weeks = One week

I may have said this before. I will probably say this again. I do not like getting paid every two weeks. Budgeting money isn't the real problem. Let me explain my problem with biweekly paychecks. It makes the work week seem two weeks long. At the end of a stressful week receiving a paycheck makes me smile. When I don't get the check I feel as though I am not rewarded for my hard work. I know that is silly and is all a mental thing, but none the less I feel like I worked all week for nothing. Why? Because I did not get a slip of paper telling me that there is more money in my bank account.

Hell I should be happy that the company is wasting less paper. I should be jumping for joy because the trees are being saved. I should feel a lot of things - but alas I still think I worked this entire week for nothing. Call me silly but I can't change how I feel about this - ugg! It drives me crazy. Anyway - at least the weekend is here... kinda. (I work Saturdays...)

December 05, 2002

Um...

Insert foot into mouth. There is about seven inches on the ground right now and it is still snowing...

Snow?

There is no snow on the ground outside. The forcast says it may flurry. Why in the blue hell are all of the school districts closing today? It will snow today - but no where around here.

Today my plans are to get gifts for everyone on my list (except Eric and my mom). I will finish those two later... So that means onto the craft store! Crafty McGee here will be making half of the gifts this year...

December 03, 2002

Shoppin'!

What are you two talking about? FOOTBALL! What are you two talking about? SHOPPIN'!

Today I will be hitting the stores. Not just malls but Target, Best Buy, etc... I have already started Christmas shopping and today I hope to finish up everyone except my mom and Eric. I have no clue what to get him. What do you get the boy with all the video games in the world?

War books? I know he loves to read books about war. Although I don't like the subject very much - everyone has their own thing. Anyway - wish me luck. Hopefully the stores are not mobbed on a Tuesday morning.

December 02, 2002

Harumph

Eric's birthday is the 4th. Wednesday. But he is getting nothing from me. Why? You ask. Because he already did. Uh huh. Last Tuesday I ordered him a few things from Campmor. They arrived Wednesday while I was at work. Of course when I get home he is wearing the red union suit under his pants and teeshirt. So he already got the gift I was giving... I did not even get to wrap it or see the look on his face!

Hey Ma - do you think that we can get all of the shopping and wrapping and decorating done on Tuesday?

Hey Katie! Call me with your cell number - I deleted it and need to program it into my cell phone (ps - i got a cell phone...) I could call your moms house - but you wont be there, I could try to remember James' number but I never remember it and always bug some one else... Just make my life eaiser and call me.
