Happy Thanksgiving
This morning I cooked stuffing, mashed taters, gravy, green beans, corn, yams (ick!), and turkey. Last night we prepared everything we could - opened many cans of beans and corn. Opened and cut up cranberry sauce. Then we brought everything to the residence and served everyone. This was definitely a life altering experience and I want to volunteer somewhere, maybe even there, next year.Volunteering your time for the less fortunate makes you realize how much you actually have to be thankful for...

I did not get the free pies but I did realize that was a bit much to ask for. I did get a $20 gift certificate which will cover the costs of celery and carrots. Yippie!I have to prepare for two exams, complete a final essay, write a final paper, read The Cell and write the report on afore mentioned book. My last day of class is December 8th. Let's not forget to mention the holidays are here so I must do the holiday thing... Oh, yeah and I have to finish helping my grandparents packing and moving; and start packing my own belongings. It will be a rough week, thank God I have friday off.

Thanksgiving.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner tonight. I am so stuffed; so much for not eating after 6:30pm. (A normal part of the holidays is over eating, so I will not have chocolate at all, short of chocolate silk, and not eat after 6:30pm) I was good and stayed away from the brownies, but I did have the best pumpkin cream cheese roll. Time Flies.
I went to work for five hours today, helped my Gramma and Grampa move some of thier big furniture to their new apartment, and now I am trying to focus on homework. It is difficult for me to attempt anything school related on a Saturday. But I have nothing to do (HA! - clean, laundry, pick up dirty socks, etc...) er, I mean no outing with Eric. Right now he is building a wooden type thing for the rabbit.So here I sit not focusing on school, hell I don't think I have ever done anything school related on a Saturday. Have you?

Ugh.
Never ever in my life have I ever handed in a draft until this last Tuesday. Why? Because I am lazy and I will procrasinate until I loose my mind the night before. Well this time I handed in a draft because my prof repeatedly said "Hand in a draft, you will get a better grade". I currently have a "B" average in his class and I want to be sure that I get an "A" on this paper. Thank God I handed in the draft! How awesome is it that your teacher will proof read your paper for you! Just fucking amazing!If anyone is interested my paper topic is on the works of Christine de Pizan and her view of women's education. All of you ladies that are into girl power should check out her work.

Walmart Sucks.
I realize that my last entry was a bit unclear in many respects. I need pie for 100 people for Thanksgiving because I am going to spend the better half of the day volunteering to prepare and serve dinner for about 100 homeless people in the city in which my college is located. I am trying to get the pies donated however that does not seem likely.I hate walmart and realized that when I was looking for Eric's lined jeans. The products at walmart may be cheaper but that is beacuse they are cheaper. I was annoyed with the cramped parking lot. I was annoyed with the cramped store. I was annoyed with all of the loud customers. I stood there holding a flimsey sweatshirt priced at $10.77 and thought to myself this shirt is not worth $0.77 and why the hell am I standing here in misery? I threw the pathetic sweatshirt on the closest rack and bolted for the door. I need not mention all of the horrid things walmart is known for. I now breathe easier knowing I will never step foot in that place again...

Blah.
My brain feels like goo. I am so thankful that I got to see my friends on Saturday night. I really needed that. I have been so consumed with school work, work work, house work and um any other kind of work that you can think of. My "weekend" was probably really only seven hours long. Now I need to crank out two four page papers. I have one tackled and only a paragraph complete on the other. I just cannot think anymore and needed to divert my thoughts else where.I worked an eight hour day and on my lunch break filled my gas tank and bought feminine products, then came home and started dinner, chased the cat off the porch that was tearing open a bag of garbage that never made it to the proper location, rebagged the garbarge, tried to start my mothers laptop (that crunches when turned on), went to the bank, ran to the post office, went to Adams to ask for free pie (enough to feed 100), checked for lined jeans at Walmart (a store to which I will never again set foot in), picked up a sweatshirt, went to class, came home and ate dinner and now I sit here typing this rediculous run-on trying to think of something other than the paper I should be writing...

Ahhh....
Today is so beautiful. Right now I am not worried about anything, I just want to lay in the sun. I know that winter days are not my friends and that warm sun like this will not be around again anytime soon. At times I feel like Ethan Frome... hehe...
