the sun will shine in my back door someday...

Employed.

Well for a while I thought that today would be my last day at good old Customerlinx, however starting Monday I will be training to answer calls for Financial Times. I am looking forward to speaking with more intelligent individuals. I am sure that I will still have a conversation or two that will make me want to bang my head against the wall, but I hope it won't be like the calls I used to take.

I finally got my grade for that Political Theory course and I must say that I am happy with my results. (A- if you really need to know!) Ahh... to have a full weekend.

Oh yeah, check out an awesome new site.

Short updates.

I have already learned so much from my intro to world religions class. For example life is suffering and suffering is caused from desire. On the way home from class I thought, "Hey! I am not going to desire to get home quickly. I am not going to desire to rush with the traffic. I am going to sit here and rock out to A Tribe Called Quest."

I think I have the flu however I really don't want to admit that espically because this weekend will be an actual two day break from work and school! Yes you heard it folks, I now have Saturdays off! I get to join the rest of the universe and have a mini vacation from everything each week.

Starting Monday I will have a jam packed five days and two completely free days. Monday and Wednesday will be 7am - 5pm. Tuesday and Thursday will be from 8am - 8pm. Friday will be 7am - 3pm. Saturday and Sunday free!!!!! (side note: I think too many !!!!!!!! are dorky...)

Words to live by: Do not speak harshly to anybody; those who are spoken to will answer you in the same way. Angry speech is painful, blows for blows will touch you.

Recap

Alrighty then, its fun to "restore your computer to its original factory settings!" I still can't seem to get my monitor to display properly at all resolutions but I am tired of fiddlin' around with it. Yes I still have my money backup file, word documents and personal photos so nothing of great value was lost during the "restore" process.

I am still sick and tired of the cold fucking weather and I seem to be some what grumpy for no reason. Those of you that know me might ask, "Addie? Grumpy? What's that like?" Well for one I don't want to talk to anyone - not that I ever call anyone anyway. (If you know where I work, can you blame me?)

Here is a little lame-assed catch up: Happy Birthday to Colleen, Erica and Chris. (Erica I hope you are having fun with your brother!) (Colleen I hope your play is going well!) (Chris your daily comic rocks!)

Jesi, I can't wait for your updates. Katie, sorry that your Valentines meal sucked & I need to visit your new (to me) place soon.

Speaking of Valentine's meals, Eric and I ate at Camillo's and it was excellent. I am so glad that we skipped out on Torches and opted for the much less know Camillos. I had cedar smoked salmon and Eric enjoyed pork with some kind of stuffing and baked apples.

One more thing - Is it spring yet??

Crocidiles

Last night while watching the Crocodile Hunter movie I noticed that the husband and wife team wrestle crocks for a living. As I thought about my job I realized that I would prefer to fight a huge animal with large fangs than answer the phone to speak with some stupid moron about charges on their credit card.

Food!

My mother and I have a goal. That goal would be to eat some where groovey about once a month (or two depending on $$$). Our first goal is to hit each spot on this list. We can cross off Beeb's, Camillo's and Il Cena'Colo!

[side note: I wish the weather looked like this again...]

Give me one week.

I am going to take Jesi's advice. I am going to try to simplify my life. Of course if you read all of my past entries you will notice that to be a re-occurring theme. How amusing is that? I must work at simplifying myself. Ha. Today I am trying to get all of the reading done that I have been avoiding and to start my final. Uggh. My final...

When did February get here?

It feels like eons since I have done anything artistic. That makes me sad. I realize that when one has no time to spare it flies by. I knew that the super bowl marked the begining of February but I don't think I actually understood that... I know this seems lame but I must stress how much I can't stand long winters. I can deal with winter for about two months - December and January and thats about it. Now I wish that I could see green grass and green leaves and purple flowers and yellow flowers and any color other than snow and dirty snow and salt!

Having said that, I will move on to other topics. The roof leaks, the door knob to the attic door and the front door fall off, and the carpet is destroyed because of the leak BUT I completely enjoy living alone with Eric and the place is begining to feel like home. I am also extremely happy that my sisters are a walkable distance away (of course not in this horrid winter junk) and with the new red lights in town the same amount of time by car.

Now the major issue I need to deal with is breakfast. What in the "H-E-double hockey sticks" should I have? I could definately go for an egg and cheese sammich but I don't have eggs. Maybe I will have some oatmeal...

Parking Violation.

I now owe $50 in parking violations at MSMC. Now I did my homework and let me just say that I have in no way made a single parking violation. Firstly, I will ensure that I do respect faculty and in no way do I wish to make that seem otherwise. Secondly, my parents are paying quite a bit of money for me to attend that school and I should be able to park anywhere I wish but let's just put those thoughts aside. I only park in commuter lots with the designated white lines. I have two tickets telling me that I have parked in a lot with a sign that says "faculty" or I have parked in a lot with yellow lines.

I am bringing my trusty digital camera to photograph the scene of the crime which will show without a doubt that I did not violate a damn thing. Should the parking zone have changed over Christmas break I would have liked to be informed with some sort of letter, sign or even the lines painted yellow.

Thank you for listening to me bitch.

The curse of Soup.

Yesterday started off pretty well... work was really quiet with more than 75% of the people "rightsized". After running to the bank on my lunch break I went to heat up my bowl of home made French onion soup complete with shredded Parmesan and Romano cheese. After taking a sip and wanting it just a little warmer I started to put the bowl back into the microwave. That’s when I poured the soup all over the counter, floor and into the already dirty microwave.

At 2:30pm I walked into the door and Noah gave me a lovely greeting. I figured "Hey, I have twenty minutes to type up and print out my paper. Why not have a bowl of soup? That last one didn't hit the spot." I then sat down with my bowl of hot canned (yuck) soup. After a few bites I realized that it was yucky so I offered some to Noah... I was only half paying attention and didn't realize that Noah was upstairs and did not finish off the bowl of soup.

I walked into the kitchen and stepped into the soup. Yes, you heard correctly. I stepped into the half eaten bowl of soup. Needless to say that set me back a few minutes and I walked into class two minutes late. I swear that man must start talking way before 3:35pm because I have made it to class at exactly 3:35pm, 3:36pm and 3:34pm. And I have never once seen him take attendance. Maybe I am just crazy. Well now I need to get ready to run to class again...
