It's only Sunday...

Why does this weekend seem really strange? Yesterday I had a yard sale with one of my best friends, Jesi, and another one of my best friends, my mother. We had a wonderful day and [they] made some money on the side. My thirteen dollar profit was fine with me for several reasons - most importantly I got rid of some of my junk! The most obvious reason was that I got to spend the day with two lovely ladies.

Today Eric and I are going to head to my uncle's house for a bbq! I just love to have family get togethers. I am bringing my loved-by-all unbelievablely-low-fat butterscotch brownies!

I volunteered to work tomorrow and I still don't know why... At this point I really wish I had not signed up - a day off would be nice. But I guess it is for the best, Eric will want to play with his new toy... but I really want to head to the mountains. Hell maybe I can have my cake and eat it too. Work ends at 1pm leaving plenty of time to head up to nature.

History of Islam begins

I have made my first dumbass move at MSMC. I missed my first History of Islam class on Monday - something in my gut told me that I should have went but when I saw the schedule online it stated "May 24 Monday: Classes begin; (laboratory science only); tuition due" and "May 25 Tuesday: Classes begin (all others) so of course I did not go... At around 7pm Monday I got a strange feeling and just shrugged it off. I guess that was my gut telling me that I missed my class. And believe me I understand how silly all of that sounded... Anyway I found an awesome website about the history of Islam. It is a wonderful compliment to the course and is from the Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho.

A new floor.

Last night (Eric and) I ripped out the old yucky carpet in our computer / dining room and underneath we found a floor that belongs in a bathroom from the 1980's. Eric ripped up about 2/3 of the carpet and I pulled up all of the staples. This morning I ripped up the last 1/3 of the carpet and finished up by pulling out another three hundred staples. It's almost ten o'clock and all I have had is a cup of coffee at around 6:15 this morning. I think I am going to make myself some breakfast and maybe watch the Golden Girls (aren't they always on Lifetime?)

Happy Weekend!

So check out the castle. You have no idea how happy I am and how excited Eric is to be able to go to Ireland with a group of wonderful people.

It's been one week...

Well classes are over. Still no grades reported yet. I feel like I am on vacation even though I will be working 40 hours this week. The sun must be behind clouds because its still sort of dim. I can hear birds chirping and cars in the distance. The house is quiet and calm.

I am sure that this week will fly by and classes will start again. I don't mind summer courses so much as there is only one each semester. That I can handle. I fear the fall semester with work but if I did it once I am sure that I can do it again.

I don't want to jinx myself but Eric and I might be heading off to Ireland for Thanksgiving week this year. I will be keeping my fingers crossed.

The Dead!!!

I really want to see the dead this year, and that means my ass should be buying tickets to a show that Eric and I can both attend - Saturday only! Why not check out some artwork by Robert Hunter while I figure out how I will be getting to a show this summer...

It is May!

I cannot believe that it is May already. I have two weeks of classes left this semester. I will have one week off and then my first summer class starts... Time is really flying. Give me two weeks world and then I will be sane once again. I am so tired of writing papers, don't get the wrong idea - I love school but ugh, I need a break.

Seth, was your birthday in April?!? Did I wish you a happy birthday?! Is my brain farting? Lord, I don't even remember...

Today was a beautiful rainy day... it was too bad that I was not able to stay home and curl up on the couch with the dog. Hell, I was late for work (only 2 minutes...) this morning because I did not want to leave my dog home alone. We really need to get him a pet!

And yes, I am avoiding a 5-7 page paper to type this but I really need to have my brain do something other than school work. Sometimes I don't know how I don't explode. Oh, wait... I did explode on Friday - Sorry Ma, that you had to be the one to get the wrath of Addie... It should have been Eric that was in the way...

I am actually looking forward to having a yard sale tag sale (it sounds so much nicer! tag sale... Jesi we need to make pretty signs to post all around town.) and the best part is that bulk pick up is scheduled for the Monday after the tag sale so we can just toss what doesn't sell!

Enough rambling on about random thoughts... Have a peachy day!
